first things first, this is not going to be set in Japan its going to be set in America, secondly anything that I put in here that isn't specified or clarified in the anime I will keep in here, but feel free to shed some light on something that I may have messed up so I can correct it and re-write chapters.
finally I'm probably going to drop a load of subtle and non subtle references in there. that's all.

life for me was as normal as it could have gotten, people around me in relationships, people preparing for the final year of school and the more than one occasional tosspot who wants to screw things up for everyone, so yeah pretty normal...besides the bullying everything's...somewhere between complete hell and Normal...that is until a mysterious book falls into my grasp.

soon the bullying stopped, quickly my confidence began to build and even quicker did I become VERY powerful...and people say no harm can come from a book.All Rights Reserved

Then, the person who I'm forced to sit with talks to me again... Light.. But I know that knowing Light... Makes me feel uneasy. Especially ever since I passed notes with him in high school. Ever since then, I saw something by his side at all times, a shinigami... Shinigami.. Gods of death... Then there's a notebook I noticed that Light had.. Death note... I think Light is Kira.. But then I meet L, a member of the group who's working on the Kira case, the best detective in Japan, the one person who hides his identity.... Can I tell him..? Can I trust him...? He seems to trust me enough to tell me that he's L. But there are a few things stuck in my head... Why did he offer me to help him? Why does he want me to help at all? Why does he want me by his side? Why does he want me to choose a letter as a name? Especially for broadcasting? L.... You care about me... Don't you? Or... Are you just trying to make me feel welcome..? This was originally going to have a character but then I decided to make it and L x Reader story. Your point of view will be written in first person, this is only because this is my first x reader story. But I hope you enjoy nonetheless.
