When I was little, I believed in magic, the kind with an enchanted fairy godmother and the power of making wishes. These beliefs began to wither with every unanswered wish. They disappeared completely when I made my final wish, a moon wish. The black cloud that has followed me since that day has only gotten thicker and darker over the years; it's so dense that it is starting to obscure everything. I can't see the sky at all.
