Yet, somehow, this one girl somehow broke down his barriers, causing a conflict in interest for him. The system has always worked, but when it screws over Isabelle Truter, Michael chooses to fight for her.

Emancipation- the fact or process of being set free from legal, social, political restrictions Cheyenne has had a hard life at the age of seventeen. A mother who passed away from a long term disease and a father who got drunk every night and occasionally threw stuff at her head. Of course she doesn't tell the police any of this because she's afraid of what would happen. So she decides to go through the process of emancipation but no one told her she had to live with another family and take the 12 steps into finally being set free.
