In this world there are three types of vampires. The Moroi, the pure blooded vampires who use blood as sustenance and can develop abilities attuned to an element. The Dhampir, half Moroi and half human, they can survive on human food and are the protectors, guardians of the Moroi. And finally, the Strigoi, the bad guys, incredibly fast and strong and immortal due to their diet of Moroi blood, with the ability to transform humans, Moroi, and Dhampirs into their race. St Vladimir's Academy is a renowned school that teaches both Moroi and Dhampir students but for the past two years have been missing three of them.
