"Are you ok?!" Nicki called, reaching for the door handle.
"Nicki... No." Bella whispered, pointing at his head. As he wobbled into the headlights Jax understood why. His face was full of bite marks and blood dripped from both the cuts and his mouth.
"What's wrong with him?" Nicki whispered, turning to look at them. The man whipped his hands around like he was trying to grab something.
"Zombie." She whispered, repeating the word again and again. "It's a damn zombie!" Jax screamed, slamming the truck into reverse.
Six teenagers. Seven billion zombies. One Apocalyptic Tree Hugging Society.
Can they make it?
Or will they be zombie brunch?
Why brunch? Because who doesn't like brunch. It's just the right time to eat.

'I turned around and saw a creeper standing directly behind me, tilting his head to take a bite of my neck. It's breath was putrid, their crooked teeth stained orange from the feeding of animals. I grabbed my knife out of my boot and sliced it's throat. It stumbled back and came at me again. I poised the knife in my hand and forced it into its bloodshot eye. Blood pooled out of its socket as it fell to the ground.' Arizona is living in a world of ruin and wreckage in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. It seems there is no hope for having a normal family someday. People she loves are dying left and right and she doesn't know what to do as they are consumed by the virus. Until her life turns around for the better when she encounters somebody in the forest. The world crumbles down around her, will she ever come out of the rubble alive? Ok, Who Got Bitten?
Right now, I'm squatting in a pile of human waste, desperately trying to get a signal on my phone. My friends are watching me reluctantly, their faces stained with blood and what I only hope is dirt. The light from my phone is illuminating their faces, casting light on the looks of horror that I have come to know all too well. My best friend is cradling her left arm, bandaged with a torn piece of cloth in hopes of stopping the blood flow. My sister can barely walk, and I think her hand is broken. She looks on the verge of tears. As we calm down, catching our breaths, I give up looking at my phone. I slowly turn to them, my own face crusted with blood. I look at each of them, one by one. There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.) "Mom!" I yell unattractively and begin to go to the living room that is by the stairs. I walk into there with my body slumped and notice something. We have company and I had five pairs of eyes on me. I straighten up and look at the bodies of whom the eyes belong to. One being my mom, her brown straight hair in a ponytail, nicely dressed, and wide eyed. Another is my brother, seven years old, blond tousled hair, he is also wearing something nice. Then I find three pairs of new eyes. One a women who has blonde curly hair, a female child also with the same hair, and then a highly attractive male who looks about my age. Seventeen. Malia is just like any other girl, goes to school, has friends, and makes new friends. This "highly attractive" male is her new neighbor. What happens when they begin talking?
