"Just do it!" I yelled, trying to hold back the tears. He looked at me and took the plate from my hand, making careful moves so he didn't touch the tips of my fingers.
"Throw it on the ground." I told him. I watched as he threw it down on the ground, pieces of one of my moms plates going everywhere.
"Okay. Now what?" He asked me, a hint of impatience in his voice. I walked up to him so we were old inches apart, our noses almost touching. It would be so easy to just kiss him right now....
"Now say your sorry." I whispered to him, letting a tear slip. I felt his gentle hands wrap around me and pull me in closer. Our foreheads touched as he whispered the faithful words, "I'm sorry."
I pulled away from him, making sure I didn't cut myself on the sharp shards of glass.
"Did it go back to the way it was before?" I asked him, angry tears rolling freely down my face now. How could he do this to me? I am--was--his mate.
He looked at me with a sad expression and then looked down. Strangled, he whispered, "No."
"Do you understand now how my heart broke when I found out? Do you get it now?"
"Jace, I'm--"
"Don't even!" I yelled. I couldn't take this anymore. "Leave!" I screamed, letting my tears fall to the floor.
He looked at me with a painful look. I felt myself die inside when he finally did turn and leave.
