At the age of 6, Rhiannon Riley's father is murdered. At the age of 11, her mother is taken to St. Mungo's, 4 month's before her life at Hogwarts was meant to start. For those four months Rhiannon is left in the care of a family friend, who patiently cares for the young witch who hasn't spoken in years. When Hogwarts finally begins, Rhiannon faces the ridicule of her mother's choices and the horror of her past.
