Carter Mikaelson is the adopted sister of the Mikaelson family. They turned her into a vampire, then left her to mostly fend for herself.
It was up to her to learn not to fall for sarcastic boys. No one ever told her about love, she had to learn for herself. Carter never got the motherly love that every child yearns for. Instead, she got a bunch of siblings who didn't really care for her.
When she meets Stiles over a social media app called Instagram, she falls hard. She's never learnt how to love someone, making it harder for her. Stiles teaches her how to make friends and most importantly, how to love someone.
