Jen Jules is a 16 year old girl who is depressed, cuts and having suicidal thoughts. Her life is a mess- she has no friends, she is unpopular and her single mom is worried about her. But when Jen's mom meets John Hens, her whole life is turned upside down. Her mom gets married and they have to move to the small town of Highland. At first Jen is mad and thinks this will be horrible. But soon, she finds out that this event in her life is the key to showing her what life really is. •
