❝"C...cold..." he moaned, stunned at how sudden and how powerful the feeling was. His teeth started to chatter and he curled in on himself under the comforter, making himself smaller, less vulnerable.

Castiel moved with him, wrapping a leg around his own somewhere down in the darkness. Two hands splayed themselves on his chest, the arms pinning Dean's own arms to his sides, and a chin settled on his shoulder. Castiel's cheek touched his and Dean tried desperately not to lean into its warmth.

"You're not back to your normal temperature yet," his companion purred, and Dean felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise up with something that should have been the cold but probably wasn't.

"I wasn't... this c-cold a minute ago," Dean stammered back.

"It will hit you in waves. They'll die down. You need sleep, Dean. Close your eyes."❞
