Year of Acid

Sylvie Carter meant to live a normal wizarding life. Her to-do list is simple: learn magic, be best friends with Isabella (Izzy) Finnigan, and be awesome at Quidditch. But what she doesn't know is that a new illness is spreading around: Daxiren. Daxiren is a wizarding illness that is extremely harmful to wizarding powers. You may lose it, you may not. Sylvie catches this illness fairly quickly, and is rushed to St. Mungo's for help. She has managed to keep her powers, at least. But she has an after-effect from her 1-year medicine - she needs to keep herself hydrated by drinking acid. Keeping herself full means eating acid pops. Acid. Acid. More acid. It's a diet - that's worse than yours. No food. No drinks. Just acid. Sylvie isn't sure she will live now - one spoonful of acid medicine, one glass of acid, and an acid pop a day just isn't the right way to live. She is struggling to stay alive, while keeping her grades up. It's her year of acid.
