According to mythology there was a race that existed amongst the humans, in secret. They were called the Corvus clan. Corvus is the Latin name for raven. The one thing that made them stand out and different from the humans was there ability to fly.
For centuries there were stories told about people who believe to have seen an angel. What they saw was real, but it was far from an angel. The Corvus clan had beautiful snow white wings that dragged behind them as they walked. The white of their wings signified their pureness of heart.
But where there is light, there is also darkness. A war weighed down upon the clan. Darkness against light. The war was a brutal one and one that left no one alive.
Over the years the story of the Corvus clan were long but forgotten. And the winged clan extinct.
