What if Clove didn't get picked, or even worse what if Iris didn't get picked and had to watch Clove die. Last games were child's play, all these people are experienced with the games. They have all been through the trauma. But the trauma hit Iris really hard when she got back home. The only thing keeping her happy was the thought of seeing Clove again and being able to hold her.
