After losing both their parents in a house fire 10 year old Lillian and her 6 year old sister Kyrsten have to survive. "We aren't going into an orphanage Kyrsten! I told you that!" Lillian snaps. They run into a dark forest where they live for 8 years. They work together to survive against whatever nature throws at them but nothing can prepare them for what happens. Kyrsten struggles to adapt to her surroundings. Especially when she comes across a very large wolf print.
