Adriana Fernandez was an average girl. She was middle-class, graduated at a good standard and had the same argumentative parents as all young adults did. However, the one feature that stood out was her beauty. She was drop-dead gourgeous; looked like a supermodel, but she was not popular and never wanted to be. Adriana is twenty years of age, she had already lost her virginity, found a job and was looking for a way out of her, chaos of a home.

She often worked late, serving customers at a bar before taking a night shift at the gas station. She lived in a large, over-populating town that included supernatural beings; vampires, the creatures of the night. The amount of customers demanding for artificial blood at work was amounding.

That's right. The government had a signed treaty with the vampires. No killing or eating. Of course if they didn't see it or know it was done it was more like a go-for-your-life kind of thing.

She found them disgusting. Finding their soulmates and turning them into a creature. It was a custom there. How did they know they were mated? Adriana never knew. She kept to herself and was happy they did too. Well, most of them.

Only he liked to taunt her. A handsome vampire who came daily into the gas station. She never asked for his name. Hell, she didn't even care.
