The moment my feet left the ground I knew there was no going back. I kept my eyes closed not wanting to see the out come, but then I felt my feet hit the roof and I knew I was gonna live a few more minutes.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Kimberly. Last names arent really important anymore. Wanna know why? I am one of the last survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Ya those things back there have been trying to eat my flesh for a good 2 1/2 months now, but I'm to fast. Oh yea and in case your wondering the year.. 2018
As you can see I am NOT a big fan of heights so that stunt back there was pretty stupid, but hey if I didnt do it I would end up just like those maggots back there.

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Land Of Giants (Discontinued)
*Note: This book is currently discontinued. At this time, I am re-writing it. When I have enough chapters edited and to my liking, I will start posting them on a schedule starting at the end of the discontinued chapters or I'll make a separate book for the new version. If you have questions about, don't hesitate to ask. The roof crashed down at the speed of lightning, crushing me under the table as I gasped for air. My mind scrambling to process what had happened as I felt rubble falling around me, surrounding me in darkness. I reached up, my arm stinging as I hit the hard wood table over me, which was keeping the rubble off me, miraculously. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. Dystopia Rising
The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? {COMPLETED} Me and most of the people I know are trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. Some may die,and some may survive. We meet people on the way...and we loose people on the way. "Right now. Go pack your stuff." I ordered. "She could be hundreds of miles away Logan." Jeremy said. "Does it look like I give a sh*t!" I said loudly. "No. I'll go pack my bags." Jeremy said walking inside the house. "Thank the lord. Tell Anniston,Alivia,and Katie to pack their stuff too." I ordered. "Okay." Jeremy said. She's alive? Has she been alive this whole entire time? And I've been here...not searching for her. "Who is it?" I whispered to Katie as we hid behind a shelf in the back of the store. "I don't know." Katie said nervous. "Alivia....Katie....where are you? I know you're hiding." Someone said. Me and Katie just stared at each other. "Come out, come out, where ever you are." Someone said. We could here the person walking around. I'm pretty sure he's a man. Then all of the sudden we here this huge bang. "Come on! So your face!" We just sat there, knowing when he finds us he'll do something to us. Then he jumped out of no where right in front of us. "Stand up!" He yelled and we just sat there frozen in fear because all we brought with us was knives and he was pointing a gun at us. A Different Virus - Laura's Story
This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? I stood on the edge of the rooftop. My eyes closed and my mind free. I'm ready. Now is the time. I could feel my breath quickening, Breathe in, Breathe out. I slowly start to gain composure of my thoughts. I can hear the people on the ground. I can see them entering the building in their perfect dresses with their perfect hair. I look down at my Royal Blue gown and smile. It's time. I slowly exhale and let myself fall. I'm free. Well, that's what I thought when I jumped, but the world hates me. So now. I'm alive and kicking, quite literally kicking in fact. Paisley George is a screw up, her "True Love" even knew it. They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world??
