Love Charms

They're assigned to us at birth and handed over to our parents. On our sixteenth birthday, they are always gifted to us. They're unique, no two are the same. There is always a symbol in the center, different for everyone. They come in different shapes and sizes. One thing is the same about all of them however, they start out black and white. When you are very close to your soulmate, their colors are revealed. When you touch your soulmate's charm with yours, the color becomes permanent. The closer to your soulmate you are, the hotter your charm gets. The farther you are, the colder it gets. This is a story about one girl in particular that had an experience different from the rest.
