ON HOLD!!! (I will be back soon though!)

In the midst of World War Two, a pair of young men walk side by side in the streets of New York. One baring a police hat and charming smile, the other fierce, bright eyes and a damaged forearm.
It's quite a sight, two so different conversing, the taller even slinging his arms across the other's shoulders. No one would ever pick them out of a crowd as friends.
Although, that's a funny word.
Friends.

But that's beyond the point, outside their sheltered chuckles and grins, there is a battle raging. Germany is moving quickly, and it seemed to be no end to their supply of troops.
One of the two is ready to ship himself off to the unknown without a bat of an eye.
The other wants nothing more than a warm cup of coffee, and the boy standing next to him.

Friends is a funny word.

(Disclaimer, these characters are not in fact mine. I am merely writing about an alternate universe for characters created by Marvel. I in no way own these characters.)
