Clare O'Brien has always lived a sheltered life in her parents castle, in Ireland. She's only ever gone as far as the gates. So what happens when in exchange for the safety of her village, she is married off to a Viking chieftain? She expects for her husband to have a belly and no sense of humor, could she live with that?
Brynjar Eriksen is a Viking cheiftain who has never wanted to be married. That is until he meets the Lady Clare and suddenly his whole view point changes. Marriage is no longer a silly title for his friends who just want a woman. No he may finally understand. But how is he going to win her and protect her?
