My breaths came out in pants as the skies were filled with the deafening bellows of an injured beast. The pain that filled my body was indescribable, almost as if someone had ripped off another limb, one that I myself could not have placed claim to. No, this limb that was missing was almost like an extra arm, something I would use on a daily basis. Worry consumed me as tears of agony invaded my line of sight. "Ardawn!" My breath grew ragged when he would not answer me, and kept moving towards any other wounded, only having one hand as the other couldn't stop putting pressure on the phantom wound at my shoulder blade. Dread crawled through my veins as the earth quivered and shook, something meeting with the blackened undergrowth. The screeching of claws against drakkonic flesh brought me back to attention, staring at the two closest fighting creatures. Red crimson was spilled across the entirety of the battle field, one loosing to another. I had to do something, or my dragon would die. Summoning all my strength and digging into the reserves of my companions, I gathered all the power I could before releasing it onto the enemy drakkon. It took the brute force of the blast, which took off half of its head, and its neck lolled to each side as it went. It was no longer able to control itself, and without proper support, it toppled over on its right side, the force of the fall covering everything in a twenty-foot radius in brain matter. It was then, with tears still rolling down my face and my wing-less partner by my side, I knew. This war was far from over.

She shrugged, "by the looks of it, your going to be a father soon." Darkness exploded through the room. Cutting out my vision, it seeped through the windows, blocking out any visible light. Calloused hands pressed down against my shoulders, holding me in place. Soothing talons scraped down my mental barriers, trying to pry them open. I could feel his presence through the dark, feel the warmth of his body as he stood in front of me. The darkness subsided to uncover the violet stare of Rhysand eyes gazing down at me. Talons scraped at my mental walls once more before he spoke down our bond, Is this true? I looked to my mate, "Yes." He receded a few steps, stumbling over his words, "how?" "Well, when a mummy and a daddy love each other very much-" "HOW?" He snapped, cutting me off. Sighing, I relaxed my wings, exhausted from today's events, and let them slide to the floor. "A witch put a spell on me," I muttered, unable to make eye contact, "one which I think changed the year I was living in." *** Feyre is the Hight Lady of the Night Court. Living out her life, she thought it was going to be a prefect happily ever after with her only struggles being breaking the news to her mate about her pregnancy.
