Battle of Bridgewater
This is a story adaptation of my group's real dnd homebrew campaign! The story follows three main characters: Orion, an apathetic Drow from a Nobel family of assassins that he's recently disowned. He's cutthroat, tactical, and most importantly, he works alone. Faentom, a bubbly and outgoing Eladrin Elf who grew up in a small village in the feywilds. She was adopted and grew up with no other Eladrin to teach her about herself and she's spent her whole life craving to find out. And Eli, a chronically anxious Half-Elf cleric from the Twin Alters monastery. As a bastard his family never truly saw him as one of their own but he was forced to step up nonetheless to one day take over his fathers position as head cleric. Living vastly different lives in vastly different lands, the three of them somehow wake up in a strange hovel with no memory of having known each other, how they got there, or where they are. But wasting no time at all a mission is thrust upon them, a dangerous entity has been disrupting the feywilds, strange attacks and kidnappings, and polluting the waters. Will the group accept the mission or make their own mission of trying to figure out what happened to them and returning back to their previous lives? What will they discover, who will they meet along the way, and will they discover, if anything, about themselves?
Rejecting the Alpha
I glared up at him my eyes narrowed, "Excuse me?" I was beyond livid by the words that just came out of his mouth. My glare didn't falter when Parker towered over me, clenching his jaw while trapping me against his desk. "You heard me." Parker's voice was low and intimidating that it made me feel so small. But I wasn't going to let him get to me. Standing up taller, I snapped, "I will not be your personal toy, available for you to do just as you please! I do not want to be held captive against my will, and not even have a say in anything. To be honest, I don't even want a mate." "You will do everything and anything I say, do you hear me?" Parker growled grabbing my chin and forcing me to look at him. Without even thinking I said the first thing that came to my head but meant every word. "I, Jasmine Davis, reject you Alpha Parker Mason, as my mate." * Jasmine Davis is the daughter of the Beta of the Moonlit Waters Pack. She's sarcastic and having a mate is that last thing on her mind. Jasmine gets the attention of most of the male population in her pack but she ignores them. What happens when Jasmine's mate happens to be the ruthless Alpha of the neighboring pack, the Lunar Shadow Pack. What happens when she doesn't want a mate especially, Alpha Parker? * [Highest rank: #1] [WARNING] - mild language and some steamy scenes* [Unedited] Read at your own risk! Sylvian chooses to help her but this action leads to unpredicted consequences when they become the targets of a man trying to find the girl. Will Sylvian manage to protect his rescued ward in the face of danger from this mysterious source? Then again, why did such a young girl end up on the run in the first place? ****Story Extract **** "Enough, Cal," the dark-haired man stepped forward to stand beside his companion, "I think he understands. Get on with it," "Just building the atmosphere," the one addressed as 'Cal' returned a toothy grin to his fellow aristocrat as the grip on his weapon relaxed, "Weren't you getting excited for a moment there? Come on Syl, old man, we're here for the whole ambience, don't you want more?" It was evident that these two shared a bond deeper than that of travelling companions. 'Syl' did not deign to reply but the other was not offended in the least. Once he released the sword, the grey, lacklustre eyes of the other returned to surveying the room. Cal gave an imperceptible shrug, as if he were used to the apathetic ways of the other. He turned to Ruli again, "You! Present us with your finest, no, present us with everything you have," Ruli did not want to risk a second outburst, "A moment, sirs, I'll go fetch them at once," "Are they through here?" "Yes, sirs, please wait," "Out of the way, we'll see for ourselves," "But sir," Ruli protested, throwing a desperate glance at Syl but to no avail this time. The other did not return his glance. After another moment of futile hesitation he moved out of their way. ** CONTENT WARNING: Contains references to assault, depictions of violence **Complete
