Nothing ever changes in Cherry Grove, Washington. Nothing bad ever happens. Nobody comes and nobody leaves. That's just how it is in the little town of 550 people. Jessica Sparks is just fine with that. Because of her town's nature, she is going to stay a nobody for the rest of her life. The kids at school aren't suddenly going to want to be her friend, the teachers aren't going to ever remember her name and she's definitely never going to get in trouble for anything, with anyone. But when the charming new kid takes an interest in her, not long after a traveler passing through is brutally murdered, Jessie's world goes spinning out of control. Everyone she knows is hiding something and everywhere she turns, Jessie stumbles upon secret after secret until finally, she decides she doesn't want to know anything else about anything. Unfortunately, there's one more secret that's lurking, and if it takes Jessie by surprise, she won't stay breathing long enough to figure out what the hell is going on in Cherry Grove.
