He sighed, a content kind of sigh, like he somehow enjoyed this...
"Whoa, the view is amazing from up here."
"...No, not if you actually look."
He suddenly turned around and I could feel his curious eyes scanning my face,
"You never see the positives, do you?" His voice was soft, almost stolen by the breeze. It seemed... sad? Why?
"It's always there, you just aren't looking hard enough. You need to search for it, not just see."
"Yeah? And how do I do that?" I scoffed. He needs to see the reality for what it is.
"By finding it inside you first. You need to feel the beauty, the happiness, so that then you can see it."
I looked down, not wanting too stare into his eyes - they were too calculating, too... curious for his own good. Why couldn't he just stop caring so much? Just ignore me, leave me alone, it's what I know.
"I used to, but that was once upon a time."
