In the spirit of great Space Opera by Peter F Hamilton, Jack Campbell, and Larry Niven comes Aeon 14. If you love strong heroines like Kris Longknife, then you're going to love Tanis Richards.

Major Richards needs to get out of the Sol System

Demoted by the military and hung out to dry, the media labels her the Butcher of Toro. Despite her soiled record, Tanis still one of the best military counter-insurgency officers in the Terran Space Force.

And they need her to find the terrorists responsible for trying to destroy the GSS Intrepid, a massive interstellar colony ship in the final phases of construction at the Mars Outer Shipyards.

It'll be her ticket out of the Sol system, but Tanis discovers she is up against more than mercenaries and assassins. Major corporations and governments have a vested interest in ensuring the Intrepid never leaves Sol, ultimately pitting Tanis against factions inside her own military.

With few friends left, Tanis will need to fight for her life to get outsystem.

Contains violence and some foul language. 17+ recommended.

By 2057, Earth will be a shadow of its former self. Decades of unbridled consumption and climate negligence have left the earth almost desolate. Water, oil, and lush land are relics of the past, valued more than money. All nations have collapsed under the weight of famine, disease, and internal upheaval, leaving only two superpowers: the United States and Russia. They were once reluctant allies but now find themselves embroiled in a deadly, global fight for the planet's few remaining resources. While the population fights to survive in enormous urban wastelands, both regimes use advanced technologies and covert tactics in a desperate push for absolute dominion. During the pandemonium, 17-year-old Caleb Morrow, a scrappy survivor from the ruins of Canada, is conscripted into the US military. Meanwhile, on the other side, Elena Morozova, an 18-year-old Russian conscript hailing from the ruins of Norway, ascends the ranks in the Russian military. As this conflict between the 2 last countries left spirals out of control, the past suddenly begins to rise from the ashes leaving questions to arise in the thoughts of many soldiers on both sides including Caleb and Elena that, if answered, reveals a dark and unsettling truth. Scarcity is a story of curiosity, critical thinking, corruption, and trust in a collapsing world. Make sure to keep your rifle tight as you explore a dark truth... *This story includes mature themes such as: war crimes and heavy violence* *Perspectives will continuously shift between characters in this story* *All pictures are not real sketches*
United Terran in Luminarum by Valkryiez
43 parts Ongoing Mature
United Terran (UT), an international organization that has been instrumental in the unity of the people of the Earth in the 22nd century, has transferred to the Luminarum, a new world that resembles Earth. The natives of the New World have a vast range of civilizations from the Alternative version of the Roman Empire, Viking nations, Arabic Caliphate, Mongol Empire, Chinese Ming Empire, Japanese Shogunate, Spanish Empire, French Empire, British Empire, Third Reich, Soviet Union, and the United States of America. Unlike Earth, the planet boasts an unknown phenomenon to science: Magic. The native nations, which resemble the alternative civilizations in Earth's history, integrated their technology with magic to improve the quality of their technology. Hugo Van Dijks, the Secretary General of United Terran, is the most powerful leader on Earth to lead his people in the new world. He and the United Terran government, alongside International Consortium Companies, created a "Novus Ordo Project" for the prosperity of the people of United Terran and the natives in the world. Despite his best attempts at diplomacy and economic approach, the arrogance and hostility of the natives prove to be an unnavigable barrier. War is the only alternative. "si vis pacem, para bellum," "If you want peace, prepare for the war." What are the policies of the United Terran in the new world? How did they survive in a world infested with magic that defied the science law? What magical wonders will its adventurous citizens find? Can they become a "New World Order" in the new world? Could they improve their technology to advanced space technology with the help of magic? This story is the remake of the same story, "United Terran in New World," with some minor changes. Terra (A Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare FanFiction) by brontideandsough
41 parts Complete Mature
It has been 40-some years since Captain Nick Reyes and his crew attacked Mars in an attempt to destroy Salen Kotch's reign with the SDF. Now, a new threat of SDF forces has risen, and although Earth has been restored since the attacks, the planet is still in grave danger. A young woman by the name of Terra Sloane escapes Earth after the SDF's deadly attack, heading to Mars. There, the supposed Captain Reyes is still alive, through which a secret no one knows. Though he is supposed to be in a coma-like state, Terra runs into him in the wastelands of Mars after crash-landing. Convincing him to return with her, Terra begins a journey to defeat the high power of the SDF: Colis. His plans to destroy the solar system with the new SDF are more powerful than ever before and it won't be long before the entire solar system is obliterated. With this unexpected journey Terra begins, she learns the truth to more secrets than she thinks possible. With those come betrayal, loss and even a bit of unintentional love. ~~~ This is a work of FAN-fiction, therefore I don't own everything in this story. Terra, the rebels, some ships, Colis and other minor characters are from my mind. There are also some locations, unless specified, that belong to me. Reyes and any parts of the story having to do with the game's original campaign rightfully belong to the creators of Call of Duty games. I only intend to satisfy the needs of fans and readers! :) WARNING: There will be strong language, gore-filled parts and SOME minor sexual talk/activity. Prepare yourselves if you intend to read anyways. ~Began writing July 18, 2017~ -Finished August 12, 2018-
Starpiercer: Sunlight's Edge by Neptondoodle
22 parts Complete Mature
Nobody said Rock Hauling would be easy. Throughout settled space, terraforming is the fuel that drives the interstellar economy. For some worlds, this is easy. For others, lacking resources, or on the periphery, this is an unattainable dream. Through the eyes of workers, astronauts and intellectuals, Sunlight's Edge follows an attempt to revitalize the crumbled terraforming project of the barren, poverty-stricken and resource-poor planet of Tylo. To carry this out, the beggared planetary government has commissioned the crew of the aging, if powerful asteroid-cracker Caroline Rowland to make the three-month journey to a distant asteroid belt and tug a selected asteroid back into orbit for conversion into a space station. This is difficult enough by itself, but located in a strategic demilitarized zone between two rival interstellar hegemons, Tylo and it's project may be the flashpoint for a conflict of apocalyptic proportions, with the Caroline Rowland and her crew as the spark that lights the tinder. This is the debut novella for the world of Starpiercer, a planned series of novels set in the 200-world region of Solace with accompanying illustrations, sketches, maps, technical details and more. Read along to meet alien species, experience real and speculative technologies, and follow a sprawling interconnected narrative over multiple novels and multiple series, with fully realized histories, culture groups, physics, biology, anthropology and thousands of pages of worldbuilding. This story has been fully written, and more sections will be published daily, hourly, or in other chunks.
