Zinnia is the future queen of the country of Reika. Life is good for her and her many sisters until that horrible Christmas morning. There is an attack of the palace and her mother dies. The princesses' father, who hadly speaks to the girls anymore, creates Mourn. This is a year long period with no celebration. No color. No light. No festivals. No balls. No music. No dancing. No art. Everything in the kingdom is shouded in sadness for the loss of their caring queen. One night, about a week into Mourn the princesses find a stone in their room with an intricate carving in it. They then realize that this carving used to be the symbol of their kingdom back when The Black King ruled. Zinnia keeps the stone, waiting for the right time to show it to the King. Hardly a day after finding the stone, she accidentally nicks it with her royalty ring. She soon finds herself in a secret room where her sisters and her can express themselves without worry. But all good comes with a price, and a gift like this....
The price is deadly.
