I went inside my kitchen and looked in the refrigerator. I have a refrigerator filled with food. I'm trying to gain a little weight. I grabbed some stuff and placed it on the counter to cook. I went in the cabinet to get some spices. I heard my front door close. I froze in place as my eyes shot up. I turned around quietly on my heel. I grabbed a knife from my knife holder and held it. I walked out the kitchen and into my living room which is right by the front door. I looked around and saw no one.

The Mystery Guy Next Door
The strip of leather made contact with the skin on my back. The burning pain soared and I had to grit my teeth so no noise came out. I've lost count. As a child you always fear the monster under your bed or in your closet. Maybe you watched a scary movie or were told a horror story to make you believe something was under there. I see them sometimes. They're gone most of the day. We wave when we see each other, coming or going. Those two seem nice. Didn't they used to have a son about my age? My neighbour's house is normal. They turn off their lights about the same time we do. Except in that one room. The lights in the white room stay on late each night. I tried to watch them, once, to see how late they stayed on.
