Words.

Phil Lester is obsessed with words.
He's obsessed with every single one of them. He's obsessed with the fact that there is always a word for exactly what you mean. He goes and searches for the words that mean exactly how he feels at all times. Which sometimes, leads to miscommunication. Ironic.

Dan Howell has anxiety.
Because of this he has trouble saying words. He has trouble saying what he means without doubting himself and stuttering. He has trouble finding out what he means. Which brings him into many situations that are hard to get out of.
