It was cold.

"Human. You need me, and I need you. I'm giving you a choice- either your captivity, or your freedom, just at your command..."

The days were dark as the government-controlled testing facility EXA Corporation scavenged for test subjects. Unfortunately, hundreds had died in useless tests that served no purpose but to put innocents through fatal situations for their enjoyment.

As the Earth changed, their tests had a meaning, for just once in the thousands of unethical treatments. Soon they believed they could do good in bad ways.

Foster Aimsworth was selected for EXA's "Dangerous Entities" program, in which helpless subjects were subjected to interacting with deadly anomalies and creatures. Alongside fifty "participants," he was one of the twenty that survived till the last week of the tests- "death row week."

But when a strange girl wearing a weaved sun hat comes to his aid at the last minute, the EXA Corporation are on the hunt for them. Foster takes a leap of faith with his newfound friend in discovering a way to shut down the horrible environments of EXA for good.

But it's easier said than done...

 ...isn't it?

The Virus Within: The Unranked (Book 4)

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
