“I don’t care if you have the necklace or not, I can love you without it…” When your born you’re given half a necklace and the other half is suppose to belong to your soul mate…but that doesn't sit well with some people. Violet Patterson is a quiet girl who rarely talks to people she doesn’t know. She normally doesn’t talk unless it’s to her friends or someone she has to talk to. Some people say she’s scared of others, but she just says she shy. She would do anything for her family, and loves them more than anything. She’s always hated the idea of your love life planned out for you, unlike her parents. She wants to find love on her own, without the necklace, but that might be hard since not many people think the same. Drake Holland is known as the popular, loud, and flirty boy at his school. Everyone says he’d flirt with any girl, and date any girl, but you’ve heard the saying don’t judge a book by its cover right? He normally doesn’t do his work and talks 24/7 whether it’s to a stranger or his best friend. He’s always been compared to his perfect twin sister, and even if he doesn’t admit it he hates that. Most people don’t know if he believes in the necklace since he never talks about it, let alone no one ever see’s it. “My friend is going to do something and can’t take her children with her, so they’re going to be staying here for awhile.” “As you know your dad and I are going on vacation for awhile. I contacted one of my friends and she said that you can stay at her house.” Authors Note~Thanks for reading this story and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it :). Like I said I'm not good at writing summaries :/ Thank you if your planning on reading the whole story and staying with me through the whole thing. I love all my readers, thanks again. In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. One day though, they feel their tattoos start to tingle. ____________________________________ *Will they be happy with who their soulmate turns out to be? *Will they recognize each other? *Will they be happy? *Will they break apart? -Read to find out. :) ____________________________________ This book is rated mature because there is a lot of talk of depression and self harm.
