In the midst of a world war between human and beasts, a young princess finds out her true destiny.
The dragons who were once at peace with humans, and the earth they lived in, are now forced on a contention for there own freedom. They are bound to bigotry, and chaos. The merciless dragon king feels as though a dragon can only hold the power of fire. This causes the dragons to fight amongst each other. Any dragon that holds a power other then fire is at a great turmoil for survival. The impending battle between these mythical beasts starts to wreak havoc on the world around them. Within war becomes destruction, thus the homes and cities of the humans are falling to a crumble. The humans oblivious to the real truth see this ruination as a threat, and have chosen to fight back against the dragons. One human sees the truth behind all this hostility.
Princess Braelynne can speak to the dragons. She is the one person with an understanding as to why the dragons are destroying their lands. Trapped within her royalty she looks for an escape. Not only to save the dragon race, but to find a home for herself. No longer does she want to be a princess. She wishes to be a knight, a great warrior. Princesses do not weild swords, they stand behind the men that do. She now must escape the castle walls enveloping her, and the damnable clutches of her father's new wife. She must find an out, and to bring freedom not only to herself, but to the beast that now spreads fear to all humanity.
