Daryl Dixon/OC story. Slow burn romance. Following TV show beginning with Season 1.

After being tossed around from foster home to foster home most of her life, Ace has never had much. She was used to being on her own. But once the world fell and her days were numbered, Ace finally finds a place to belong. Funny how it took the end of the world for her to get what she had always wanted. Turns out, the scariest part of the apocalypse is not fighting for your life, but learning how to love a hot-headed redneck and his chicken-shit group.

39 parts Complete Mature

Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. You only start to get chapters once the entire story is written. And it finally is. I hope everyone enjoys Angel.
