The First Of Her Kind

This is based in the olden days. An eight year old girl called Maiko and her best friend, Ryuu live in a small town called Magnila. Her town was attacked by some solders and her family was killed. While she was trying to escape, she got caught but Ryuu came to her rescue.
Ryuu told her to run and that he would catch up but he never did. She cried all night and in the morning, she decided never to cry again.
