Being a teenage superhero isn't easy. Calliope Vance is the product of her rich father's experiments into animal genetics, so when the higher ups in her city approach her and her merry band of misfits to take up the mantle for a defunct superhero team, she leaps at the chance. But when the duty they've chosen to take on puts them in danger, Callie must decide how to save her friends without exposing themselves to the world. Will the teen heroes suffer in silence, or will they be forced to come into the light?

*Lightly editing, changing grammar and spelling errors, etc. Plot has no changed* When Sariah finds herself the newest member of the X-Men, she struggles to fit in. At the Xavier Institute she is surrounded by the unfamiliar- people like her; a happy environment; people who care. This is because Sariah has been in foster care since birth, having too many families to count. She finds it hard to trust and make friends. She is used to being rejected and given up on. But Sariah soon learns that the X-Men NEVER give up, and they help her to overcome her past. But little did they know they would be helping her overcome the shocking revelations and betrayals that will take place after her arrival. Sariah's past catches up with her more than she would like, and it soon becomes apparent that some emotional scars cannot be fixed. No matter what Sariah does, she will be forever haunted.
