It's the distant future and the world has went back to empires run be rulers of "divine blood." There are two royal half sisters, a queen named Luna and a princess named Aspen. Aspen's the result of their mom's affair with a warlock. The mom died after giving birth to her and the king, Luna's dad, killed himself after she died. Luna resents Aspen for this and shuns her, only breaking her shunning to give her venomous words. On Aspen's 18th birthday Luna's past lover returns to fulfil a prophecy to overthrow his dad, the powerful warlock king from his realm. To do so he takes the sisters on a mission that opens Aspen's eyes like they've never been before.
