Bailey Ashford is a friendless 16-year-old who just graduated high school. Lonely and feeling cheated out of her teenage years, Bailey dreads her last carefree summer before starting college in the fall. After she has a chance encounter with Julian Weber, the most desired boy from her high school, she feels the need to make a bucket list of sorts, consisting of things most teenagers experience that she has yet to do. Gathering a little courage, Bailey asks Julian to help her with her bucket list, and to her shock, he agrees. Throwing caution to the wind, Bailey finally learns to let loose and have fun, that is, until her family life begins crumbling. Torn between being a careless teenager or returning to how she used to be, Julian teaches Bailey that not everything can be solved by an equation or a book but by feelings and emotions.
