Water splashed, armor clanked and wind whistled, escaping thru gaps in the vines on the trellis , that formed the tunnels. Two soldiers wadded thru the swamp water. "I heard we lost the 12th and 13th legion of Halfs." one of the soldiers stated. " Do you think the queen knows?" "Are you really that forgetful Sprigon, we are on our way to tell her majesty that." The other soldier said ashamed to have to tell the queen the bad news. "I'm just joking around Leafa, I needed to lighten the mood a little, I can tell it didn't work." Sprigon sighed. Leafa glared at him. "This is no joking matter, we were stationed as guards to the resurrection room, you know what happened, how the Halfs massacred the executioners. Images flashed through her head. "And then they escaped through the sky lights." They turned down another tunnel that led to a large, round room with green and blue banners hanging on the walls. In the middle of the room there was a wooden throne craved out of a old stump. The throne was decorated with all kinds of gemstone, jewels and a few bones here and there. on the throne was a small dragon sleeping, hanging from a pole sticking off the throne. "My queen we have news of our losses, we lost the 12th and 13th legions of Halfs." Sprigon said. The small dragon opened her eyes. "HOW DARE YOU WAKE ME." she growled. "M-my q-ueen, all he wanted to was inform you of our losses." Leafa quivered. "I'm sorry, I lost my temper go on." She repeated every thing from earlier. "So they went rouge." the young Queen said.

Jolene

Jolene was at a loss on how to proceed. Weeks ago she was a simple pioneer girl living at the edge of civilization. Now she was hailed as the queen of the dragons as she was responsible for bringing the last of the dragons forth, most of them falling into imperial hands. The fate of the world rested on her shoulders. She and her companion dragon riders responded by dropping water filled bladders on the emperor and his entourage from their dragons. The fact that Mother Ruth knew of her action surprised her. "What is this?" Jolene asked. "Your wanted poster. Thought you might enjoy it." "How do you always know so much. We can't seem to do anything without you knowing about it." "I speak to all the dragons, Jody, even the Wyvern." "I never expected my Blue to be such a blabbermouth," Jolene teased. "Work on the chain breaking spell, all of you need to learn it. I'm counting on all of you. Jody, you will be the one true queen, remember that." "Shall we tell her the rest of the prophesy," Mathilda asked Ruth when they were alone. "Not yet, she needs time. Time to grow in strength and find her solution." "The false queen will kill her, I have seen it." "Perhaps Mathilda, Jolene is made of stern stuff, I feel in my heart she will win the day."
