Alarra's dreams are more than just dreams. They are memories-fragments of a past life lost to time, glimpses of a world unraveling at the seams. In the ancient city of Numinas, she is just a teacher, a caretaker, a protector of children. But when reality begins to shift around her she is thrust into a mystery far beyond herself. She is not alone. Others like her-eight more souls bound by destiny-are awakening to the truth: they were once divine. Before betrayal shattered the balance of the universe, before they were cast into the cycle of rebirth, they were the architects of existence itself. Now, the cycle threatens to repeat, and a hidden enemy is pulling the strings to keep them blind, to keep them apart. As Alarra's past bleeds into the present, she must decide: will she embrace the echoes of who she was, or will she lose herself to the illusion that binds them all? The world is shifting. The Nine are awakening. And the cycle is ready to begin again... unless they can break it.
