At the age of 12 Markus Ryan a citizen of Moons Peak found a cave on the outside of town. He decided to look at what's inside and he found a journal next to a skeleton and a sword known as "The Void Blade". He picked up both the sword and Journal, but before he could read a single page, a crazy witch put a curse on him. The mark covering his torso is his curse mark. Markus can only exist in the dead of night. While a Shadow Beast by the name of Onchi living inside his soul can only exist in the morning

On a frigid and blustery October evening, the radiant moon cast its glow upon a solitary willow tree, perched atop a hill. Beneath the tree sat a mysterious man, clutching a large, worn storybook. Suddenly, his gaze was drawn to a child, no more than 10 to 13 years old, wandering aimlessly nearby. With a welcoming gesture, the man motioned the child over to him.
