There once was a young witch who was ashamed of her father's name. She carried it like a burden on her shoulders, allowing it to drag her down physically and mentally. But beaten and bruised, she emerged her childhood a strong young woman. The young Slytherin graduated Hogwarts with the hopes of becoming the successful witch she was destined to be. But as years passed, she began to feel homesick, missing Hogwarts like a lost friend. So when Minerva McGonagall, Hogwart's current headmistress, owled her asking for her to be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, she seised the opportunity.
But a problem emerges when she realizes that she will be teaching the children of the man that killed the father that she hated.
Her name was Alma Gaunt Riddle was the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and she was willing to put the past behind her to go back to her one true home: Hogwarts,

The Next Generation
This is my own version of the next generation's first year at Hogwarts. I wrote the majority of this story long before The Cursed Child came out, so it does not follow a similar plot line. Albus, Rose, and Scorpius struggle to be friends as they are sorted into different houses. Draco and Harry meet again, and this time, things are different. Scorpius explains how his mother died. Pansy Parkinson's son always seems to get in the way. Lucius Malfoy has never been more evil. I've worked extremely hard on this story, so I hope you read it. Enjoy!
