How did we end up here?

"You see Riles, that's the beauty of it. We don't need second chances"

Farkle looked at her, and in the corner of her lips he could see a little smile. Her eyes were on his, the warm hazel brown eyes he fell for when he was a little kid.

"Why?" She was almost whispering.

"Because we can change our lives in seconds. The smallest thing can change our lives. But the real question is, can you actually take the risk to change your life?"

Riley Matthews was a ray of happiness. It was a part of her. Farkle Minkus was also a part of her.

Farkle had always been there for her.
He was there when she learned to bike,
He was there when she had her first heartbreak.
He was there when they graduated high school.
He was there when she told him she was terrified of heights.

The problem is, that even though Riley is afraid of heights, she was slowly falling.

Falling for him.
