The year is 2060 and the world is going to hell in a hand basket. Water is scarce because 98 percent of it is poisonous and clean water is hard to find and when you can find it, it's extremely expensive. Food is in about the same state because most of the land is barren red dirt dessert and what little food that is available is grown in greenhouses. Electricity is almost a myth because only the extremely rich are able to afford it. These days you can be put to death just for stealing an apple or a cup of water so everybody just keeps their head down and hopes to get by. But execution is only for the lucky ones. For the few unlucky ones, they face a fate often times more painful and detrimental than death. They are experimented on or used as expendables in wars. But what happens when there is a group of people who go against the grain, against the norms of their society? This group all have one thing in common despite all being different in all other ways. They are all mutants. Some are made mutants, meaning they were made that way due to experimentations, some are born mutants, which were born with their powers.

{WARNING: This is an original story of mine, and has nothing to do with any fandoms. I understand if you don't want to read it, but it would mean a lot if you tried it out.} Humanity is falling apart, and only a few people are keeping it together: the Purebloods. They fight against the violent, erratic mutants with what little sway they have left, struggling to keep humanity from falling to pieces. the mutants, on the other hand, are trying to stop the Purebloods and get them to embrace their mutant side so everyone can live together and cease fighting. After a horrible accident, Stephen finds himself caught in between the two sides, struggling to understand himself and his other half as he battles his morals and friends. What will become of humanity? Read on and find out.
