"Boleh aku minta gendong kamu untuk yang terakhir kalinya, Vin?" Kennya dengan mata sendunya menatap lekat Ravin. Berharap jika apa yang ia inginkan dapat diberikan oleh Ravin. 

Ravin menatap tajam Kennya, "Kamu gak boleh ngomong gitu oke?! Gak boleh! Aku bakal gendong kamu sepuas yang kamu mau! Aku mohon jangan bilang itu lagi!"

Kennya tersenyum, wajah pucatnya bisa tertutupi, meskipun masih terlihat jelas. "Iya, aku gak bakal ngomong gitu lagi. Tapi aku gak janji, kalo aku yang ada terus di gendongan kamu,"

Ravin menatap Kennya pilu. Hatinya sakit, sesakit-sakitnya. Dia membiarkan Kennya sendiri melawan penyakitnya selama ini. Bagaimana mana bisa ia membiarkan Kennya memintanya untuk memaafkannya selama satu tahun lebih, membiarkan Kennya merasakan rasa sakitnya sendiri.
