A young boy named Joshua lives in Manhattan, he's just a young kid with many more things to go through in the world. He would, until he finds himself with amazing capabilities. Though this is the smallest thing ever compared to this child's history. As he only remembers an ordinary life before the powers came. Though his importance and biology is more than what meets the eye as mysterious people say, that his true father, was a Ruler and had strengths of a God. He cared lots for all living things. A father known to the people as Opertus. Who has given this child.... his Opora... (Eh... Maybe...)

Elias Carter never asked for survival. He never asked for the fists, the silence, the house that broke him. All he wanted was the love he lost the night his parents' car spun off the road. What he found instead was pain-daily, unrelenting. But somewhere inside the bruises, something woke up. A spark. A light. The kind of power no one else in the world has. Now Eli can fly. He can bend energy to his will. And for the first time, he doesn't feel powerless. But power doesn't heal wounds-it sharpens them. As Eli battles between vengeance and protection, between the boy he was and the shadow he's becoming, the line between hero and monster grows thin. And the bruises never fade.
