Akasuki was a broken girl. She was alive, though a young girl, when the demon Beatles first attacked. Her parents fought as much as they could, but in the end they and the rest of Akasuki's village died in battles. NONE of them were wizards. When help came, she, and her best friend Hogo-sho, were close to death and the government panicked, putting them both in cryogenic sleep until they were both to full health. This took centuries. When they came out again, life had completely changed and they had to adjust, quickly.
They both trained till they passed out, Akasuki driven by her anger. They were the stronger than even the years above them. Akasuki's hair grew when her magic wasn't used for a certain amount of time, as that's the only place it could go. She also 'matured' faster than the other females in her class and it hurt if she didn't use her magic for a couple days.
Then, something bad happened and the couple were spilt up, after they confessed their feelings for each other and had dated for a while.
Akasuki declared to never be involved in conflict nor violence again and had to lock around her emotions along with her magic, otherwise it would destroy the area around her without even trying. She believed that violence was meaningless, it only brought pain and sadness to both fighters, good human or bad human.
Although she believed this, she was forcibly recruited to Sky Wizards Academy, a place where warriors are trained. She is put in the lowest class because she refused to attack in battle, even with her strategic mind and impressive fighting skills, she was placed in E601.
How will she survive in a team that thrives off working together, when she won't even let them know her magic capacity?
"Almost Enough." takes place as Suguru is going through his mental spiral. He tried to leave Satoru and being a Jujutsu Sorcerer behind as a whole that summer when he realized all they were only needed for but Satoru didn't want him to because Satoru was clueless about this fact. So he convinced him to come back and stay and be a Jujutsu Sorcerer so they could be the strongest together. So now it's their third year at Tokyo Jujutsu High/Tech and Suguru hadn't gotten any better. He didn't try to make any progress once he got back. He would stay in his dorm, locked away from Satoru and their other friends while they were all training and getting better. So when their third school year finally started, he was still in shambles and he was considered "weak" and "less than" the rest of his friends. He didn't want this anyway, he wanted to leave and not come back. Yet he also wanted to make Satoru happy. So he stayed.
This is the Wattpd public version of my fanfiction "Almost Enough." I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. There are a lot of meanings in this story with some of the things written. If you can't pick up on it but want to feel a deeper connection with the story and the characters I highly recommend you look it up because that's how I got the meanings lmao
PS. I love SatoSugu, I don't know why I did this to them. I've had multiple dreams about this fanfic and I've cried while writing this multiple times and I KNEW what was going to happen, so I hope it has a better effect on you all :3 ENJOY!! (Nickname credit to: @OwwlllY on Twitter)
