Do you ever think about what a ninja's life would look like if there was no evil or danger threatening Ninjago? Well basically it starts that way but they'll face some problems to which still makes a use for a ninja... It all started after the war that occurred between the ninjas and lord garmadon. Lord garmadon was evil before peace relived its days upon Ninjago island, Lord garmadon was infected by the great devourer venom. But his evil ended after he was saved by his son Lloyd. You'll know what happens next after you read the first chapter and so on.
Disclaimer: this story is animated. It has the names of a real cartoon series but the story is different. I did get inspired by the cartoon series. This was all a fan fiction

The ninjas, Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, and Y/n, initially sceptical of their abilities, must set aside their differences and work together. They discover they possess elemental powers, and master the art of Spinjitzu to combat the Serpentine threat, although Y/n has not unlocked said elemental powers, yet. * * * All your life you knew the Brookstones.(IK that's not their real last name, but it sounds better then 'Bucket', soooo) and for the longest time, the Brookstones son, Cole was your best friend. And what felt like forever, you had a crush on him, but you didn't want to tell him, out of fear he didn't feel the same way. (In this story, when Cole goes away he isn't found by Sensei Wu till after you.) When one day, you went over to his house, and his Dad said that he had gone away to the Marty Oppenheimer School of the Art's, which didn't sound right. After a few months, weird stuff started happening to you. One day, you were approached by an old man, claiming that you were an Elemental master, and that you needed to train to be a ninja. At first you were sceptical, but after some thought, you went with him. After about a month, the man said he wanted you to meet some other people like you. You didn't know what you expected, but you didn't expect Cole to be one of the people you were to meet. This is the first book I EVER wrote, so read at your own risk... One year later, a group of assassins, sent to kill Garmadon and his family, ambushed them in the night. Garmadon and Misako escaped, but their two children didn't. The couple were determined to avenge their fallen children and defeat the ones responsible for their deaths, or so they thought. In the present day, the ninja, Kai, Cole, Jay, Nya, and Zane, with their masters, Wu and Garmadon, discover a large organization of the same assassins that attacked Misako and Garmadon being lead by a powerful and dangerous foe on an unknown island they never knew about-the Dark Island. This foe was unlike others, he was the eternal enemy of the First Spinjitzu Master. Together, the ninja team work their way over to the island to try and fight them, not knowing that a small group, who aren't so different from the ninja, are already working on it.
