A mermaid goes onto land and gets legs for the first time. She goes into an accessories shop and gets really excited over all of the different types of socks, and tries to buy like, 40 pairs. The salesperson doesn't accept her sand dollars and makes her leave, so she cries and leaves barefoot. 

Another girl was watching her the whole time because she thought it was cute. She buys a pair of striped knee-socks and runs out and gives them to the mermaid. She then asks her out to tea.
