A teenager has been away from his home, training under the guidance of the six Legendary Bakugan beasts, learning their ways of combat and training, and adapting his body and mind to the six elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Darkness. 

But, as he reaches adolescence, a tremor is sensed in the universe, and the Six Legendary Knights of Vestroia send him away to a world he does not know of. The world is unlike his home, or that of Vestroia, and he must adapt his new abilities to this new world, and he must fight to the fullest, and fight in the name of Bakugan.
