Y'all buckle up because I'm rewriting the entire series- (its basically the show if it had good writing. expect heavy deviations from the canon plot and references because why not) Darkness has always been around. It's just taken the right people to find and harness it, and the right people to fight for the light, the hidden embers that prove that the world isn't as broken as everyone assumes it is.
