rachel berry is a very successful broadway star having recently won her second tony award at the grand age of 22 yes life career wise is going great for rachsl berry. however there is one key draw back to the long days and late nights that go along with broadway. her love life or rather the non existance of it is the problem. after finn died and she broke up with brody she had remained single at first she ws happy about it and was happily throwing herself into her work but then thats all it was work. she hadnt returned to nyada after quitting to star in funny girl she hadnt needed too the job offers had flooded in she had dosn westside story which was what she one her second tony for she one her first at the age of twenty for jane austin sings.anyway after wrapping up her twelve month run as maria rachel had gotten the part of christine in phantom of the opera which was due to start rehearshals in six months time so she had decided to use those sixth months as a chance for a break to replenish her energy and also planned to return to ohio and see her dads. its when she is in ohio she sees sebastian smythe her former enemy only he isnt doing to good. when she finds him looking like he is at rock bottom the fact that she had haboured somewhat of a crush on the bad boy in high school meqns she cant just walk away. she hopes she can help him which she does but she never thought it would lead to finding her soulmate.
