The war is over. Yet, only one left alive is her. A girl, they never paid enough attention to. Remember me? Few years ago... A night to remember. On a shallow road, with a seemingly never-ending rain pouring down heavily, and streetlights barely illuminating the place, silence seemed so right. Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. Pain, that was all I felt as her blade pierced my chest. A bloody smile made its way across my face as memories ran through your mind. I knew from the moment that I was told that I was a big sister that I was going to die because of him, for him. I just hope that he can finally make the world a peaceful place like he promised me he would. I winced as the pain got worse but I can bear the pain, for I know it will go away soon. I can see the blurry image of my fathers panicked and grief stricken face. "Don't worry dad, as long as he is ok" my eyes turned to my brother, the boy who saved me from the darkness. For him, I would do this over and over for eternity. Looking in his eyes I can see his pain and how I wished I could take it away, but as my eyes closed and I gave into the warm darkness, I heard my name, calling me back.
